Inspired by the lyrics and lifestyle of singer, songwriter and author Jimmy Buffett, Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is a destination resort and entertainment complex on the legendary Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. Hollywood Beach is a classic South Florida beach town that’s enchanted visitors since the 1920s. Often compared to quaint European and funky California beach towns, the character of this inviting area is all Florida. With an extensive array of amenities and a high level of hospitality, service and attention to detail, the 349-room 17-story destination resort is the perfect setting to escape the everyday and just kick-off the next phase of our journey.

Experience Miami Excursion

Miami’s transformation into a vibrant entertainment, art and dining destination— as well as a great place to do business—is as striking and exciting as the Strategy 2020 transformation DHL Supply Chain is embarking upon. Our initiatives include many of the elements Miami has embraced in their journey, including the excitement of change and increase in cultural diversity. What an incredible setting to get us into the Strategy 2020 mindset!

Experience Miami and the surrounding area in your own way, by choosing the top three activities that most appeal to you. From freshwater fishing to paddle boarding to art and heritage tours—we’ve created an excursion for every taste. Prioritizing your top three choices could be the most difficult part of this conference!

We ask for your patience and understanding as excursions are scheduled. As excursion choices are finalized, not all may be offered due to minimum and maximum capacity requirements. We’ll do our best, but you may not get to experience your first choice. No worries, though! No matter which excursion you ultimately experience, we guarantee you’ll have a great time and experience Miami like never before!

We’ve all seen footage of airboats that seem to hover above the river grasses as they speed across the Everglades. You can experience that exhilarating ride for yourself when you choose this excursion. Alligators, snakes, wading birds, and native vegetation add to your experience of being completely immersed in the unique South Florida ecosystem. Your captain will cut the engines at just the right spots to give you time to really appreciate the area before cranking it up and whisking you off again!

See the ‘gators up close upon on your return during the live show filled with tricks, stunts, laughs, and the opportunity for selfies with a baby alligator! Combined, these activities add up to a once-in-a-lifetime Everglades experience.

TRANSFER TIME: 30 miles/40 minutes
ACTIVITY TIME: 4 hours (including transfer)

Fishing the Everglades is at the top of every serious fishing enthusiast’s list. Whether you’re an old pro, or have never held a fishing pole in your life, you’ll love fishing the ‘glades’ from a Jon boat, the dock or as part of a professionally-guided tour. Boat and gear rentals, bait, fishing licenses and everything else you might need are all available.

TRANSFER TIME: 30 miles/40 minutes
ACTIVITY TIME: 4 hours (including transfer)

Step off the dock and explore South Florida from the water! When you climb aboard a water taxi at the Landings Area from the Westin Diplomat, you’re on your way to a truly unique perspective of the area—including views of some of the area’s magnificent mansions. (We think of it more as a water limo than a water taxi!) Two hours of soaking up the scenery with your choice of beverage (beer, wine, and soda served) makes for a fantastic way to spend the afternoon.

TRANSFER TIME: Walking distance – just a couple of minutes
ACTIVITY TIME: 2.5 HOURS (including transfer)

Step away from the high-energy vibe of Miami and onto a paddle board! The Oleta River is a pocket of serenity tucked away in one of the most vibrant areas in the U.S. True, this is a more active way to experience South Florida’s natural beauty, as paddle boarding is a great—but gentle—workout that requires balance and focus. You can do it!

We’ll start out in the calm waters at the landing at East Grey Reynolds—the perfect spot for beginners to get the hang of the sport. Then, once you’re feeling confident, we’ll head down the river, guided by an experienced naturalist. A great way to experience the historic Oleta!

TRANSFER: 7 miles/20 minutes
ACTIVITY TIME: 3 hours (including transfer)

Part of Miami’s transformation has been the emergence of an incredible food scene. Celebrity chefs make their home here, and the Food Network’s annual South Beach Food & Wine Festival has brought Miami to the forefront as one of the top gastronomic destinations in the country. Don’t even try to resist the temptation!

This exclusive epicurean adventure (that sounds so much better than a ‘food binge,’ doesn’t it?) features all the authentic flavors of Miami’s diverse cultures. It’s a walking tour, so you’ll burn those calories between stops as your tour guide shares tidbits about  Miami Beach’s exciting history and culture.

TRANSFER: 16 miles/30 minutes
ACTIVITY TIME: 4 hours (including transfer)

Not too long ago, Miami was considered a rather large but quiet Southern city. No longer! The Castro revolution in Cuba in 1959 changed Miami forever as many Cuban refugees made Miami their home, and brought their vibrant culture with them. This tour takes you on a journey through the story of Miami’s Cuban community.

We’ll visit Miami’s version of the Statue of Liberty, a much-loved marketplace, several great Cuban food spots, moving monuments, lively street scenes and a place of spiritual reflection. Take in the smells, sights, sounds and colors of the dramatic transformation of Miami that began more than four decades ago.

TRANSFER: 25 miles/40 minutes
ACTIVITY TIME: 4 hours (including transfer)

There’s nothing like a street-level tour to really give you a sense of an area. Hop on a bike and join us for this fun and educational excursion—and get a little exercise while you do it!

We’ll start in Fort Lauderdale: the setting for the 1960s classic movie “Where the Boys Are,” and countless college spring break shenanigans over the years. As we cross the Las Olas Bridge, million-dollar yachts and palatial homes eventually give way to quaint shops and eateries along the main stretch of Las Olas Boulevard.

Architecturally diverse neighborhoods, an original Indian trading post, and a ride through the marine district will culminate in an ascent up the 17th Street Causeway Bridge and a rollercoaster descent back to our starting point.

TRANSFER: 12 miles/22 minutes
ACTIVITY TIME: 4 hours (including transfer)

Another of Miami’s transformations took place when the area’s visual and culinary artists transformed the abandoned textile factories and dilapidated warehouses of Wynwood into the Cultural epicenter of the city. Some of the country’s best-known street artists have made Wynwood their canvas, providing a stimulating experience for each visitor—before they even step inside a gallery.

This tour will appeal to art-lovers and newbies alike, with massive murals, unique galleries and of course that amazing street art.

TRANSFER: 22 miles/35 minutes
ACTIVITY TIME: 4 hours (including transfer)

Luxury shopping at brands like Breitling, Burberry, Tory Burch, Mont Blanc, Fendi and Tiffany as well as more traditional shops makes this a shopper’s dream excursion. At nearly 3 million square feet and three stories, Aventura Mall is the largest mall in Florida and the third-largest shopping center in the U.S.

SHOPPING STYLE: Traditional Indoor Mall
TRANSFER TIME: 15 minutes (approximately 5.7 miles)

Think Rodeo Drive, set in beautiful Miami! Bal Harbour Shops offers a truly unique shopping experience. Set amid the lush tranquility of a breezy, tree-lined area perfect for strolling, Bal Harbour features an eclectic gathering of shops. Luxury brands like Dior, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Cartier, Bulgari, Harry Winston, Dolce & Gabbana and Versace as well as classic stores like Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus will tempt and delight you on this excursion.

SHOPPING STYLE: Open-Air Shopping Center
TRANSFER TIME: 22 minutes (approximately 9 miles)
